چکیده

A Vero E6 cell culture isolate of Tula virus (TUL), a hantavirus first detected in European common voles (hficrotus arvalis and hr. rossiaemeridionolis) by RT-PCR was obtained after initial passaging of TULinfected vole lung samples in laboratory-colonized hl. arvalis. TUL was defined as a classical serotype by a cross-focus-reduction neutralization test (FRNT) and was also shown to be distinct from other hantaviruses by haemagglutination inhibition assay. The sequences of S, M and partial L genome segments of the isolate were determined: the S segment was 9 9 . 9 % identical to the original rodent-derived sequence. Serological evidence for a previous TUL infection was obtained from the serum of a blood donor living near a TUL focus in Moravia, Czech Republic, showing at least a 16-fold higher FRNT titre to TUL as compared to Puumala or other hantaviruses.

Isolation and pathogenicity identification of avian paramyxovirus serotype 1 (Newcastle disease) virus from a Japanese quail flock in Iran

Newcastle disease virus (NDV) was isolated and identified for the first time from a flock of Japanese quail suspected to ND in Iran. Birds of the flock aged variously, and some of them died from the disease. Loss of appetite, weakness and decrease in egg production, diarrhea and nervous symptoms were the main clinical signs in the birds. Hemorrhagic lesions of the intestinal tracts and proventr...

Assessment of Foot and Mouth Virus Subtype O2016 Genetic Alterations During Successive Passages in BHK Monolayer

Abstract : Foot and Mouth Disease is one of  the important live stocks contagious viral disease caused by Aphtovirus genus ,  that is belong to family RNA virus  picornaviride. The important characteristic of FMD virus is high mutation that give rise to diversity of Antigen in surface of Neutralizing proteins. For this reason FMD virus have 7 distinct serotype and many subtype. Vaccination is o...

Sequencing and In Silico Multi-aspect Analysis of S1 Glycoprotein in 793/B Serotype of Infectious Bronchitis Virus Isolated From Iran in 2003 and 2011

Infectious bronchitis (IB) is an acute, highly contagious, and economically important viral disease of chickens. The S1 subunit from Spike (S) protein plays the major role in protective immunity and is involved in the host-virus interactions, as well as infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) serotyping. Aim of the present study was multi-aspect analysis of the molecular and immunological features of...

Molecular detection and characterization of beak and feather disease virus in psittacine birds in Tehran, Iran

Beak and feather disease virus (BFDV), a member of genus circovirus, is a small, non-enveloped, single stranded DNA virus. Although BFDVs are among the most well studied circoviruses, there is little to no information about BFDVs in Iran. The aim of the present study was to detect and identify BFDV molecules from the birds referred to the avian clinic of The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Tehr...

Phylogenic analysis of serotype Asia1 foot-and-mouth disease virus from Sulaimani/Iraq using VP1 protein: heterogeneity with vaccine strain As1/Shamir/89

Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) serotypes O, A and Asia1 are responsible for a significant number of disease outbreaks in Iraq. The current study can be considered as the first molecular characterization of serotype Asia1 in Iraq. The present investigation reports the detection of serotype FMDV Asia1 from local farms in Sulaimani districts in 2012 and 2014 outbreaks. Phylogenetic analysis o...
